The Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden hosted Dubbo’s first Science Café on Saturday 10th August in celebration of 2013 National Science Week. The event is sponsored by the Inspiring Australia program, which is delivered by the Dept of Innovation, Industry, Science Research and Tertiary Education.
Dubbo City Council and local community organisations including the Dubbo Field Naturalists and Conservation Society and the Dubbo Community Garden were on hand to give advice on how to save money, create less waste and live healthier lives in harmony with the natural environment.
The Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden became a living classroom where students could see biology, physics and chemistry in action.
